We had a great auction, marketing almost 900 hd of cattle, working
for 31 consignors and managing 57 different buyer accounts! That’s
almost double, why would you want to do anything different than the
auction method??? It’s the best way! Weaned, vaccinated calves are in great demand as wheat and rye is coming on down south. Weigh cows and bulls seem cheaper as many are starting to show up. Remember a steer calf at $1800 makes a bred heifer at $2800 look really cheap!

as many calves that have already been placed, the demand still seems strong, and I would call all classes steady.

We had a great auction and an outstanding market. Thanks to
everyone, Consignors, Buyers, and all Employees, I couldn’t have done it
without allof you!! THANKS Again! We marketed right at 2300 hd of cattle, working for 47 consignors and managing 94 different buyer accounts. Great Auction! Check out these prices! If you have bigger groups, the cattle with a 2nd round of vaccine seems to really pay off. If you can get $1500-$1700 for a good calf off the cow, why would a cow-man want to wean one? It’s your choice!!

The last 30 days, there seems to be no down in the market. Most all classes remained steady to higher. Seems a little early to sell a grass type calf, but with the moisture they have gained a lot of momentum! Things look very good moving forward, but we must get through this weather storm and get pens cleaned for the next round. Calf market was good, no yearlings represented, below are the cows and bull results. At these prices, don’t waste feed on culls!

What a great auction to be back at. I want to Thank everyone including ALL my employees, my Mother, Heather and Grandma Vera for a great day! I had support from my two feed reps, Klemas Grocery Store, Bomgaars and the chefs for the day, Steve Thorton and Dennis Seirer. THANKS to EVERYONE!
Here is what I got to say about the market, a homerun is great, a grand slam is better, but I’ve seen more swing for that an end up throwing their bat and helmet walking back to the dugout, than I have walking across home plate.
We are looking at doubles and triples in this market get aboard!
